Hardware specific software

Hi,

We have currently multiple models in our infrastructure and some models need specific software (ie: Power saver, 3G chipset, Wifi helpers, etc...) which CANNOT be installed using drivers but only with installers. I am wondering what is the recommendation:

1. Create one base layer per model
2. Create one app layer per model (will the target computer work properly)
3. Install these software using software deployment tools
