using unsupported hardware is always kind of gambling. Anyway, what you may do is to check whether the BIOS vendor offers a newer BIOS and run a hardware check to ensure everything works as expected. In case you just want to evaluate features, you may consider to install ESXi as a virtual machine in VMware Workstation (see e.g. Building the Ultimate vSphere Lab)
